We are currently offering beginner and advannced Bluebook classes for attorneys and paralegals. Our Introduction to The Bluebook: Case Citations class offers attorneys 1.5 CLE credits.

Introduction to The Bluebook: Case Citation
Students will learn to navigate through the book's rules and tables to create Federal and State case citations for both published cases and unreported cases (including those from electronic databases). Students will also learn how to avoid the most common Bluebook errors made by practitioners, how to effectively check cites for errors within a brief and how to master parallel citations. Practical examples are given for each topic discussed. Additionally, exercises reinforcing the topics covered are distributed and each student has the opportunity to have their worksheet evaluated and explained by the instructor.

Bluebook Course II: Advanced Case Citation
The second course in the Bluebooking series delves into advanced case citations including:
- local rules permitting split citations
- sentence cites, embedded cites and citation clauses
- creating, editing and ordering explanatory
- quoting and weight of authority parentheticals
Introductory Signals:
- differentiating between types of signals
- ordering signals
- ordering of authorities within signals
Quotations:
- block and short form
- altering quotations
- omissions in quotations (using ellipsis)
Our training center is conveniently located at our offices in midtown Manhattan. We also offers on-site training for law firms and corporations who want to train their staff.
